The UVDS was developed to mitigate test driver fatigue due to severe road conditions, to shorten test periods, to increase the reliability of accelerated durability test, and to adapt to the future transportation environment actively. Major developements are as follows. - By applying the acceleration feedback method, driving control stability is increased due to reducing the fluctuation width of tracking error. - A practical and reliable unmanned driving system is produced by developing a driving control system containing various subroutines. - The driving managing system allows multiple vehicle control, and is able to conduct remote control from the control room. By improving upon problems generated during the development process, it secures a foundation for the next generation transportation traveling system.
