A brief review of thermosetting materials, their characteristics and processing techniques will be made. The commercial use of thermosetting materials will be shown by examples. The issue of energy and recycling will be discussed with particular reference to cost-effectiveness and end-use performance. Projects sponsored within the EEC will demonstrate DSM Resins commitment to develop materials and processes of benefit to the transport industry in general and automotive in particular.
