Today's automotive companies require large volumes of high quality blanks, but they also have to maintain production flexibility to meet just-in-time requirements. To meet their needs, they have invested in very sophisticated blanking equipment. Modern press feed lines are capable of uncoiling and feeding strip at speeds that keep pace with the latest presses. Likewise, the technologically advanced stackers available today can stack highly developed (polymorphic) blanks at press speeds. These highly automated press feed lines and blank stackers are designed and constructed to protect critical surfaces, such as the micro-thin layer of zinc on electrogalvanized steel.
