Ein speziell für Bohrinseln und Pipelines entwickeltes Computersystem PROCAT, basierend auf der boundary element method (Randelementmethode), wird vorgestellt. Mit dessen Hilfe ist es möglich, Kathodenschutztechnik (CP) zu simulieren. Das Modell besteht aus zwei Modulen und sechs Arten von Superelementen zur Beschreibung räumlicher Strukturen. Es erfaßt Korrosionspotentiale an den verschiedensten Stellen der Plattform, so daß eine praxisrelevante rechnergestützte Prüfung der Korrosion möglich ist. (Grafe)
