For contactless suspension of vehicles for high-speed ground transport, the concept of electrodynamic levitation is often applied. This article examines a zero-flow electrodynamic levitation system with a two-layer sheet, with one lap being a ferromagnetic material. Expressions for levitation and drag forces have been obtained. The predicted levitation characteristics of various electrodynamic levitation systems are also compared.
