Arriving airline passengers enter terminals from foreign or domestic flights. The author describes how, at the Miami International Airport (USA), a network of programmable controllers is used to assure proper passenger routing from domestic and foreign flights. This permits each of the five major terminal buildings at the airport to be used interchangeably for international or domestic traffic.
