Describes a series of electronic data processing systems called MASTRA which is being developed by the Danish Road Directorate. MASTRA handles data from road traffic counts and classifications, and the systems are used by both the local and the national road authorities. MASTRA is a distributed system consisting of a central database for the entire country (placed at the Road Data laboratory) and several PC-systems are fitted according to the demands of different kinds of users. Each user has a PC-system which can work independently of the central system.
