A transducer for high pressure natural gas tank level measurements has been developed. This device uses natural temperature characteristics of silicon strain gages to provide the conversion from pressure and temperature to a 'level' measurement for high pressure natural gas tanks. Future developments planned using this technique include a 'probe' version of the device and a version providing a separate pressure and temperature output for more critical applications.
