Results are reported for investigations of various types of frequency and voltage converters intended for supplying linear asynchronous, synchronous, and inductor traction motors. It is shown that an independent voltage inverter consisting of a pulse voltage regulator and phase switch is a universal converter for the supply of the traction motors compared.
