High altitude (10 km) aerial photographs on high resolution films (3412 b/w); SO-131 (CIR); SO-242 (Co) were taken at various illumination conditions and with different exposure settings. These photographs were analysed by densitometric measurements in order to find the influence of exposure and illumination on film density. From these measurements, formulas for exposure settings as function of the sun elevation were derived.
