A new chapter of the individual mobility evolution is being written. The car of the future has a high probability of being powered by electricity "e-Power". It is a challenge for the complete society and not only the engineering community. This document will describe the key factors to drive e-Power towards mass market acceptance. The focus will be on the power electronics embedded in the vehicle. Multiple aspects will be addressed: system partitioning, efficiency, robustness, reliability, lifetime, safety, and value. Collaboration between the different factors will be assessed to make e-Power the next mobility solution.
