The project of Autonomous Airship deals with a problem of autonomously operating small helium airship that is capable of monitoring its neighbourhood by means of a camera. Driving of the airship is ensured by ultrasonic detectors, which are capable of detecting obstacles. On the basis of information provided by these detectors, several motors moving the airship are driven. The first part of this article provides a general description of the project, consisting of several concurrently solved units, whilst the second part is devoted to the analysis of the ultrasonic detectors reliability and possible methods of mass forces compensation.
