This paper applies a recently developed micromechanics-based model of concrete pavement to predict fatigue-induced cracking due to the multiple dynamic loadings associated with heavy vehicles. A damage parameter is developed, and plots describing the state of accumulated damage for multiple dynamic loadings are presented. Lastly, the Taguchi method, a statistics-based quality engineering method that has been applied to design, is employed to help understand the most critical design parameters contributing to the damage growth.
