The introduction of electricity in vehicle motorization enables to noticeably decrease fuel consumption in urban use while keeping high standard dynamic performances for the vehicle. The thermoelectric hybrid vehicle, based on the association of these two drivelines, enables to benefit from the advantages of both while minimizing their drawbacks. The different possible modes of coupling, of operation and of energy management enable to create a vehicle having a variable number of additional functionalities. This paper details possible solutions, present the hybrid functionalities together with vehicle realizations and performances recorded.
