Representative problem that is raised in the present road surface repair is work in a narrow alley and corresponding difficult fine work. The time and cost for work are not effective and durability after repair is not sufficient still now. In this research, we developed field robot materialized the new concept of taper cutting and shaving of road at high speed. Movement in the narrow space was made possible by developing special steering device, from right angle 30 degree to left angle 90 degree. Field Robot is expected to speed up and automate cutting of road for maintenance and repair.
