When compared to conventional design methods, the extensive implementation of computer design systems has essentially reduced the time of ship power plant design process and allowed to improve its quality. The common computerization of design processes requires also an experimental verification to confirm the results reliability. This article presents such an example of experimental verification of numerical models used in the program package to aid the ship power plant design process.
