The fatigue strength of the newly developed bogie frame of Diesel-Electric Locomotive is evaluated on the basis of comparative static and fatigue tests. The new bogie frame is manufactured by a simpler, more economic technology in contrast to the technology used before. The results showed that both static and fatigue strengths of the new type frame were not poorer than those of the former type frame. Details on fatigue tests and their evaluation are given.
