Continuous cultures of Saccharomyces cere visiae NRRL Y-265 were performed in CSTR type fermetor at 30 Cel for ethanol production Glucose was used as the main carbon and energy source with concentration ranging from 100 to 192 g/l. Besides, the effects of glucose concentration, pH and temperature on the flocculating characteristics of the yeast were examined and, within the range of industrial interest, this strain showed excellent behaviour. Furthermore, a graphical relationship between solids flux rate and cell concentration was obtained.
