Bicycle racing systems are studied to improve the racing results. The influence of various part systems and parts on the aerodynamics of the bicycle rider and bicycle self are given. The influence of special suits, helmets, shoes on drag forces, the influence of wind caused by the passing traffic, the effect of geographic altitude, spacing between cyclists, friction in the power transmission system, inertia forces are influencing the aerodynamic drag. Coast tests were submitted as static wheel coast-down tests, hill coasting tests and wheel coast-down tests are analysed to rise the speed of the cycle riders. (Jarc)
