Six CWP preliminary designs were included in the analysis. These included two Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Designs (Nos. 1,4), an Elastomer Design (No. 2), a Polyethylene Design (No. 3), a Stiffened Steel Shell (No. 5), and a Bottom Mounted Steel Design (No. 6). Designs Nos. 1-3 were performed by TRW. Designs Nos. 4-6 were performed by Science Applikcations Inc. (SAI). Each contractor developed cost estimates according to DOE's Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and reported them in their final reports. These estimates were reviewed and further analyzed by TSC.
