For the recovery of braking energy of vehicles with a highly non-steady mode of operation, with the aim of reducing fuel consumption, stepless transmissions are required to transfer the braking energy exerted on the wheels to the kinetic energy accumulator. The following report describes the concept, development and testing of a stepless transmission with hydrostatic power branch. (wassmann)
