Considering a six-bar linkage (seven joints) - used as steering linkage in vehicles - and allowing for the perfect turning condition and, consequently, for the required law of transmission, - the laws of transmission of the linkage are determined; - a comparative analysis is made of the influence of each geometrical parameter and the set of parameters required for the kinematic synthesis is determined; - a numerical calculus algorithm of the kinematic parameters is determined on the basis of the conditions of approximating the transmission law of the designed mechanism to the required one; - simplifications and extensions to other steering linkage types are made; - a considerable number of optimal kinematic scheme variants are selected for the mechanisms under consideration.
