Work was performed to develop network models for the Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA) of the Department of Transportation. This work resulted in the design of a series of network models representing possible Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) installations. The models, which include basic network geometries and trip-making characteristics, can serve as baseline network environments for conducting serivce/policy system-design trade-off studies and for designing and testing various system management algorithms.
