Considers multistatic radar systems composed of airborne illuminators and ground-based receivers. It provides an introduction to multistatic radar system concepts, considers possible advantages of multistatic radars, identifies technology issues and presents example parameters for a tactical multistatic radar system. It then draws conclusions about the uniqueness, feasibility and limitations of multistatic radar systems.
