A major requirement for the successful development of smart weapon seekers is the production of a sensor head which has high performance, small size and low cost. One candidate for such a sensor is a 94 GHz FMCW radar head. This note presents the results from a 94 GHz FMCW demonstrator development and also a work programme covering realisable cost and size reduction of such a demonstrator using metal plated plastics.
