This report describes the manner in which an automotive wheel speed servo system was applied to auto brakes using modern control theory. The actuator of the automoative wheel speed servo system employed in the experiment had 2 solenoid valves. For application of modern control theory, a servo mechanism was added to the hydraulic system incorporating this actuator, and a breakthrough automotive wheel speed servo was built in. The results showd that, compared with the conventional system, the automotive wheel speed servo system under study had great potential and could be applied to a brake control system.
