The SH4501 digital ignition module represents a novel solution to the automotive ignition problem. By combining digital and analog circuitry on the same chip, the system yields static and dynamic performance advantages over state of the art designs. Improved efficiency reduces power waste, leading to longer effective product lifetime. The universal design concept increases adaptability with reduced logistics and inventory problems. A single monolithic IIL control IC, coupled with state-of-the-art thick-film hybrid assembly technology, yields the ultimate efficient solution.
