Omega low-frequency, very long-range navigation aids are being integrated into the-airborne navigation systems of several major military programs by Northrop Corp. (NC). was selected by Boeing to produce and integrate 8 Doppler-Omega-intertial navigation systems for airforce's airborne warning and control system. Omega receivers in these multisensor systems would enable them to update aircraft position periodically, thereby boundary what otherwise would be a steadily increasing positional error, espec. objectionable for lengthy missions of aircraft.
