A pressure-convection particle method based on the Moving Particles Semi-implicit method is proposed for improved predictions of impact pressures, involving breaking waves. The performance of this new method is demonstrated in comparison with measured and other computational results. The approach is also applied to compute the problem of predicting the motions of a three-dimensional floating body in waves.
