Existing ship automatic docking technologies mainly focuses on high-fidelity simulation and testing platforms, precision positioning and navigation technology, intelligent control and decision algorithms, and environment perception and obstacle avoidance technology. However, these the still have various limitations in precise path planning. This study proposes a ship automatic docking path planning method that combines the artificial potential field method with Bezier curves. It uses Bezier curves to generate a smooth global path and integrates the artificial potential field to dynamically adjust the path to accommodate the complex environment during the docking process. The results indicate that the proposed method has strong adaptability in dynamic environments, providing theoretical support and technical assurance for the practical application of automatic ship docking.
