In this paper, the high-altitude UAVs (HA-UAVs) act as a data collector that receives critical data from low-altitude UAV (LA-UAVs) in regular intervals, whereas the LA-UAVs are used as base stations that provide services to vehicles in a metro city. As UAVs are spatially spread over roads, an efficient method is needed to find optimal path among the UAVs such that high-altitude UAVs can reach on time to receive critical data. In the state-of-the-art methodology, an optimal path is found in exponential time. We have proposed a novel algorithm on which the problem is resolved in polynomial time using a dynamic programming approach. This efficient solution helps to save HA-UAVs energy and deployment cost.
