In order to comprehensively evaluate the new generation of high-speed trains launched by China, Japan, Germany and France, and then determine the trains with the best comprehensive performance, a comprehensive evaluation system for high-speed trains based on TOPSIS-entropy weight method is proposed. The performance evaluation of high-speed trains was carried out from the aspects of speed, comfort, energy consumption, safety, reliability and environmental protection, and a comprehensive evaluation index system was constructed, and the performance of four trains was comprehensively evaluated by taking China's Fuxing CR400AF-Z EMU, Japan's ALFA-X test car, France's TGV M, and Germany's Velaro Novo as examples. The results show that Japan's ALFA-X test vehicle has the best overall performance, followed by China's Fuxing CR400AF-Z EMU, and finally France's TGV M and Germany's Velaro Novo. At the same time, the scientific and rationality of the designed evaluation indicators and methods are verified through case analysis.
