This article presents a non-initial value fault-tolerant prescribed performance control (FTPPC) method for small fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) experiencing actuator faults. A novel global finite-time performance function (GFPF) is developed to remove the initial condition limitations inherent in the system. Meanwhile, the output error is ensured to remain within a small vicinity around the equilibrium point in a finite time. The effectiveness is demonstrated by simulations.
