Abstract The main aim of this paper is to improve the ride comfort of the suspension system by using two different controllers. PID and LQR are used for this comparison. System equation is developed by using Lagrange’s principle. MATLAB/Simulink software is used to obtain the simulation results, and finally, the results for the aforementioned controllers are compared.
