The purpose of this paper is to present the Finite Element Structural Analysis of a medium truck front wheel hub, allowing an accurate design and stress visualization. The model was subjected to lateral loads, vertical loads and wheel bolts clamping force.The analysis results led to a new disc brake clamping and location concept, with a high confidence level design, that showed no concerns in the durability tests.
