Because of ecological, political and economical advantages, RME (or biodiesel) is assumed to be an alternative to diesel fuel with an increasing importance in the future. The paper investigates the influence of RME on limited exhaust gas emissions and noise emission of two modern single cylinder diesel engines at different speeds and loads.
