The design and development of the louvre for the ROSETTA spacecraft in the scope of its thermal qualification process are presented. In the first section the design and its development are described. The analytical prediction considering effective emittance and absorbtance of this design are presented in the following section. Tests at unit as well as spacecraft level have been conducted in order to verify the thermal design.
