This paper presents a systematic optimization of vibration comfort in a truck. The aim is to minimize exposure of the driver to mechanical vibrations in his place of work, the cab.The method used was a systematic analysis of the sources of resonance by calculation in the frequency domain. Improvements to the suspension and damping systems of the chassis and cab led to a considerable reduction of the weighted vibrational intensity.
