Modern aerospace managements, accustomed to the “technical” successes achieved during a “war” economy, may find themselves inexperienced and unprepared to meet two new and unfamiliar challenges of today’s “space” economy: advanced aerospace products at reduced costs and creation of worker loyalty and efficiency.The success strategy offered for technically oriented management involves the difficult task of learning how to apply the basic skills of the economists and behavioral scientists, as well as technical skills, to management decisions.
