Vibrational Ride environment has been measured in the vertical, lateral and longitudinal directions on the seats of various automobiles and commercial cars.Butkunas's method has been expanded to include also the lateral and longitudinal directions. Only whole body vibration was discussed. After being normalized to human transfer function in the vertical, lateral, and longitudinal direction, a comfort Ride Index has been calculated, and a picture produced which can be used for products comparison.
