Organic EL (OEL) has the potential to contribute significantly to our automotive lifestyles in the near future. Some of the advantages of OEL are: For these characteristics, OEL is superior to existing displays. On the other hand, OEL display technology has needed further development to be suitable for automotive application's. Most notably, high temperature display life and color variation are key the improvements needed. When these problems are solved, OEL will make a significant contribution towards improving display visibility and information recognition. Furthermore, new advances in OEL technology will provide flexible/formable displays that can be applied to a contoured surface and Full Color OEL.
