This document covers the basis of, and test procedure for, an overspeed landing test on aircraft tires with rated speeds of 190 mph (306 km/h) and above. The conditions requiring an overspeed test, alternatives, test requirements and pass/fail criteria are addressed. ARP5257B has been reaffirmed to comply with the SAE five-year review policy.
