Safety in the Polaris Project at Cape Kennedy is discussed from the initial planning stages of the facility through the handling and operational aspects of the program. Examples of safety problems are given along with details of how safety is designed into a circuit. Emphasis is also placed on showing where safety fits into the organization and how safety details are planned into the operational checkout of a missile.
