Two new powershift transmission series were launched recently. The WG 100 transmits 50 - 80 KW (65 - 110 hp), the WG 250 about 150 - 270 KW (200 - 370 hp) depending on the type of application.Helical gearing with high contact ratios results in a low noise level. High oil flow was provided to achieve good cooling, lubrication and shift quality.New methods of electric and/or automatic control modes are described. Options such as a retarder, integrated inter-axle differential, and an additional crawler gear were developed. An intense test program was necessary to achieve the high reliability goal.
