Tensegrity structures made from pure compression and tension elements (e.g. rods and cables) have many advantages including being light-weight and robust to failures. The presentation shows a number of concepts using actuated tensegrity structures including, soft UAS, tensegrity planetary lander, tensegrity moon hopper and UAS deployed tensegrity robot.
