Proposed mirror-tilting actuator based on bimorph cells. Includes microprocessor determining desired direction, speed, and maximum tilt angle and converts data to control signals. Multiplexer applies control signals to circuits that apply actuation voltages to individual bimorphs. Advantages include light weight, small size, and low power. Provides controllable tilt of mirror in copy machine or optical scanner, for example.
