Four microwave landing system approach path interception procedures were considered to serve all operational purposes. A fast-time computer simulation was carried out to evaluate the predictability and logic of the proposed interception procedures and the accuracy and complexity of the used algorithms for various (open versus closed loop) turn techniques and related glide path definitions. Modeling and results of the computer simulation using a Boeing 747 aircraft computer model are described.
