The project involves the construction of a new bridge and associated approach work to replace the obsolete (presently closed to traffic) Main Street Bridge within the city of Chippewa Falls, WIS. The proposed bridge construction will relieve traffic congestion particularly in the Central Business District, and provide better access to the city, which would benefit the local economy to some degree. Other environmental impacts are discussed.
