The project consists of improving the portion of State Road 329 (South Main Street) from State Road 331 to Depot Avenue in Gainesville, Florida, from a two-lane to a four-lane, curb and gutter facility. The environmental impacts recognized are increased noise levels in the commercial district, and displacement of business. Benefits are improved access from southern Gainesville to the downtown area and improved traffic handling in the area.
