Korean aviation provides a growing market for avionics and aviation support equipment. The country's size and military security situation have limited domestic use of air transportation, but Korean business and government have long recognized the utility and importance of international air cargo and passenger service. Significantly, Korea imports all aircraft, avionics, and aviation support equipment. Substantial increases in the country's air traffic are projected for the remainder of the 1970's, and trade sources anticipate a continuance of this course through the 1980's.
